Oregon
Building in Oregon? We cover that too.
Oregon's Building Performance Standard applies to commercial buildings over 20,000 sq ft. Tier 1 buildings (35,000+ sq ft) must meet performance requirements starting in 2028. Tier 2 buildings must report and benchmark their energy use. We help Oregon owners understand their requirements and stay ahead of each deadline.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my building is covered?
In Washington, most non-residential buildings over 20,000 sq ft and multifamily buildings over 20,000 sq ft are covered. Many owners have also received a notice from the Department of Commerce. Not sure? We'll confirm your tier during a free consultation.
What do you need from me to get started?
The building address and square footage, and at least 12 months of utility bills or account information. We'll walk you through anything else.
How much does it cost?
We keep pricing affordable and provide a clear quote after a free consultation. For many Tier 2 buildings, the Early Adopter Incentive offsets much of the cost.
What happens if I miss the deadline?
Tier 2 buildings that don't submit on time can face penalties of up to $0.30 per sq ft. Tier 1 penalties can reach $5,000 plus $1.50 per sq ft.
Do you work outside of Spokane?
Yes. We're based in Spokane and work with buildings across Washington and Oregon.
